Diabla Dice
A simple dice game in development by Jesse and Christine. You can test out the gameplay today! Just grab 3 standard dice and a way to keep score for you, your friends, and for Diabla.
Here's how to play:
Objective
Most points in 6 rounds wins
Sounds easy, right?
On your turn
Each player gets to roll 1, 2, or 3 dice. Always roll 1 die at a time.
Roll 1-5? Take the points and end your turn, quitting while you’re ahead. Or risk it all and keep rolling... if you dare
Roll a 6? Diabla is summoned and steals the 6 points. The total in Diabla's Pot increases by 6, and your turn is over. You lose any other points you've rolled this turn.
As you play keep track of each player's score, as well as the total in Diabla's Pot.
Diabla’s Pot
As soon as a player rolls a 6, those 6 points are added to Diabla’s Pot and their turn is over. But, if anyone gets a lucky roll of 13 points, they get to empty Diabla's Pot and keep whatever the total is in the pot in addition to their roll of 13!
What the hell am I lookin at…
Glad you asked. For years now, we've carried a few dice with us wherever we go looking for little moments that are due for an injection of fun. After lots of trial and error experimenting with different story lines and sets of rules, we've landed on a simple, fun game that doesn't require complicated cards or boards to bring with you. It should play well with 1 to 6 players, take less than 10 minutes, and can be played with 3 basic dice.
We're looking into getting the Diabla Dice game made in real life with sparkly custom engraved dice, but it's gonna take a while. In the meantime, feel free to try out the game mechanics with generic dice and let us know what you think! Thank you
